This last weekend I took Gracie to get a bath and try out Lucy Pet Products’ Surfin’ Jack Moisturizing Coconut Shampoo for Dogs. I especially love the coconut smell of this shampoo- just one sniff and you feel like you are at the beach! All proceeds from this wonderful shampoo go to The Lucy Pet Foundation. The Lucy Pet Foundation travels around the United States providing spay and neuter surgeries to homeless dogs and cats. Their goals is to have spay/neuter and adoption mobile clinics in every major city in the country, which would provide more than 120 spay/ neuter surgeries a week per clinic. The Lucy Pet Foundation also helps homeless pets find their forever homes by featuring dogs and cats who do not have much time left on their mobile adoption portion of the clinic truck. Read more about what The Lucy Pet Foundation is doing and what their future goals are here.
Not only do these shampoos and conditioners contribute to a great cause, they are also made with quality, natural ingredients. None of the Lucy Pet Products contain any parabens, sulfates, or phosphates that will dry out your pets coat and skin. However, since they use safe preservatives for their shampoo and conditioner formulas, they can not be considered ‘all natural,’ but these preservatives only count for a small percentage of the formulas. Preservatives are used in order to insure that you are buying the best possible product; without them the product could develop bacteria or mold and lose their effectiveness or wonderful smell. The mild preservatives used in Lucy Pet Products Shampoos are safe for dogs and have antibacterial and antifungal effects.
I was very pleased with the results after using the Surfin’ Jack shampoo and leave in conditioner on Gracie. It smelled great, made her fur nice and soft, and left her coat bright and clean. I like this shampoo over the kind we had used in the past because I have noticed that it cleans better than the other shampoo we used. I especially enjoy the leave in conditioning spray . Coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, and coconut water work together to leave your dog with a clean, shiny, and moisturized coat. Plus, you do not only have to use this conditioner after baths, but any time you want to give your dog a fresh smell and soft fur. I have had several people ask me what I am doing to make Gracie smell so good! I have also tried their Blue Lightening shampoo and spray conditioner in the past and LOVED it. It smells like blue berries and it got out a red mud stain from Gracie’s white fur that I was having a tough time with. Lucy Pet Products shampoo is on Gracie’s favorite products list for a reason! I loved this product and I am sure you and your dog will too!
Thanks for reading!

I love the mission of the Lucy Pet Foundation! Their “Super Bowl” commercial in 2015 was great. It sounds like these shampoos are really nice too. I like that they are so high quality and use natural ingredients. 🙂

I agree! They have also started selling kitty litter now! I do not have a cat so I was not able to review it, but it sounds great to me!

I didn’t realize that the Lucy Pet Foundation offered these! Even though I take my two of my dogs to the groomer, it seems like one of them is always needing a bath in between appointments. I’ll have to try these.

I haven’t heard about this company before, but my humans usually get me groomed.

Truffle and Brulee hate baths and rarely need one. However, I need to look into Lucy products for cats.

Kilo is not a big fan of baths or getting dirty so we don’t have them often. However these sound like great products and love that they support the Lucy Foundation

Bath time is kind of like an Olympic sport with my three. Zora (yellow lab) cried like she’s being tortured, Simon (also a yellow lab) tried to eat everything (shampoo, the water nozzle, etc.) and Piper (pit mix) is not really fond of the water… I literally just used the last of the dog shampoo two days ago and was deciding if I wanted the same brand or if I was going to try something new. I LOVE finding good, quality products that support causes I am passionate about promoting.

I love products that also do social good! Gracie looks a LOT happier during her bath time than Mr. N ever has.

Lol, I have some unhappy photos as well. She is afraid of water so it is a pretty stressful experience for her. She likes to be clean though.
